State board temporarily suspends veterinarian's license

SANTA FE, Texas (FOX 26) — The Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners has temporarily suspended Dr. Todd Glover's license. The state's temporary suspension order first points to Glover's arrest in Texas for charges of rape and sexual battery.

That alleged sexual attack occurred in Kinder, Louisiana at a barrel racing event. The criminal charges are not the only reason for the suspension of Glover's license.

State documents allege the doctor kept shoddy records for controlled substances when the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted inspections on Jan. 15 and 16.

State documents also claim Glover repeatedly prescribed Aderall to animals when it was not therapeutically indicated. Those prescriptions were written for Glover's own animals and animals owned by his employees. His attorney says Glover will be appealing the suspension.

According to i45Now, investigators with the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners with the help of Texas DPS and Texas Rangers are searching the Animal Hospital of Santa Fe which is owned by veterinarian Todd Glover.

Glover, who in January was charged for rape and battery of teen girls in Louisiana, had his veterinarian license suspended, but he is still listed as the owner of this clinic on FM 646 near state Highway 6 in Santa Fe.

Earlier on Wednesday, the veterinary board investigators arrived to search the clinic as part of that board’s investigation. People who have been coming to the clinic today have been turned away and told its closed. A call has been made to Glover’s attorney Paul Darrow for comment.
