Speed limit change weighed for Galveston's Seawall Boulevard

Changes could be coming soon to Galveston's Seawall boulevard. Leaders will consider reducing the speed limit to 35 miles per hour at today's city council meeting.

City leaders say they want to make the popular area more pedestrian-friendly and less confusing for drivers. The confusion all comes from the varying speed limits from 6th to 61st street. If council members approve the change, crews will begin placing warning signs on that street.
