SPCA helping reunite displaced pets with pet owners after Harvey

The Houston SPCA is frantically trying to help pet owners reunite with their animals after being separated after Hurricane Harvey. There are hundreds of animals being held at the facility on 900 Portway.  The Houston SPCA moved their 120 dogs and cats to Atlanta to make room for all Hurricane Harvey rescues. All 120 animals have now been adopted out. The animals and pets at the SPCA now are all rescues.

Following the devastation of Harvey, there have been about 200 reunions of pets with pet owners. will discuss how they go about that process.

In addition to assisting with reunions, the SPCA's Wildlife Center has rescued all kinds of animals after Hurricane Harvey--from turtles, baby squirrels and owls.
