Sink Hole Grows

The top part is along the back fences of residents in Katy's Bear Creek Glen subdivision. Below it, is the ditch that drains into Bear Creek near Fry Road.

Residents say the sink hole first appeared  in October. Thinking it was a sewage issue, residents called the local MUD district.

At beginning of December residents learned the Harris County Flood Control District operates the draining channel.  They say crews came by to inspect.  But the orange plastic barricade they put up isn't stopping visitors.

Harris County Flood Control District confirms the agency has known about the sink hole since November.  In a statement Zeve says fixing the sink hole is a priority, but the District is working on more than 1000 request.  Maintenance contractor should be there sometime in March.
