HOUSTON (FOX 26) - “I’ve been in this area 8 years and it’s gotten really bad,” said Marsia Zamora.
Multiple gunshots rang out police say after a brown Chevy or GM SUV pulled into the parking lot at a strip center at Scott and Faulkner.
“Fired a number of shots striking two of the men who were out here in the parking lot and one young man who was standing on the sidewalk outside the store,” said HPD Sergeant Mike Davis.
“Personal friends of my children have died between this building and the Texaco so it’s got to stop they need to do something,” Zamora said. “It needs to come to an end because children are dying.”
The three young men caught in the gunfire were all taken to the hospital in good condition.
Police don’t have a motive yet or suspects.
They say multiple people were riding in the SUV.
Residents in the area say they are fed up with all the gunfire.
“I’ve seen bodies laid I have personally seen it and one of them was a family member,” Zamora said.
People who live in the area tell us the location of the shooting is where children gather every afternoon after school lets out.
“You’ve got people who were out here on the street,” Davis said. “It’s just a shame this sort of thing happens.”
“We can go to bed and we hear these gunshots going off,” said Zamora “It’s a common thing it’s sad but to a point you get used to it.”
