Shooting at block party in Fifth Ward

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police are investigating a shooting at a block party in Houston's Fifth Ward neighborhood.

Officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Liberty and Staples around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday. Police say two people have been shot. A female was grazed in the neck and is in stable condition, and a male was shot multiple times and is in critical condition.

Police say the party ended at 8 p.m. and officers were clearing the scene when shots were fired. Police estimate several hundred people were in the area of the Houston rapper's annual block party when the shooting occurred. 

Police have not identified a suspect.
