A Fulton County boy who refused to give up when it came to keeping his dog safe got some help over the weekend.

Erick Bravo's dog Junior is an escape artist when it comes to getting out of his backyard, so Erick was using whatever he could find to improve the fence.

"Here I had to put up a whole bunch of wood… all of this. I had to put up by myself," he told FOX 5.

But it wasn't working, Junior's been hit by a car and even dodged a bus

"That was the most scariest [sic] part I had with him. If that MARTA bus would have hit him, it would have been over for him," Erick said.

So he reached out to an animal nonprofit for help.

On Saturday, Off the Chain USA, who had heard about Erick's problem came to his house to help build a top-notch fence for his dog.

In a statement, Off the Chain said that they hoped "that others will follow in Eric’s footsteps and show the compassion and love that all dogs deserve."

Volunteers from the nonprofit said they were so moved by how responsible he was as a pet owner that they were more than happy to help.
