HOUSTON, TX - The Astros trip to the World Series means HPD is tightening security at Minute Maid Park. HPD is making extra security plans to keep everyone safe during the high-profile games in Houston.
Game 3 will be on Astros turf come Friday, but police are already scouting out the place making sure it's safe for all fans and players. HPD officials say they will have extra uniformed and undercover officers looking for anything suspicious. HPD is currently working alongside MLB security, federal agencies, and other local law enforcement to ensure the safety of visitors.
Authorities remind everyone, "If you see something suspicious at the park or elsewhere, say something!" Houston recently hosted one of the biggest Super Bowls this February--and security was appropriately tightened around the city.
