Man charged in shooting of San Luis Resort security guard

GALVESTON, Texas (FOX 26) - A teen has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a San Luis Resort security guard in April. Brandon Rashard Ledford, 19, has been charged with murder in the death of Phillip Molis.

Police say the security guard was shot at least 11 times behind the San Luis Hotel building at around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, April 9, as he was making his rounds in the rear parking lot and noticed suspicious activity. Police say he approached three males and one of them opened fire. The three males were able to get away. The guard was taken to a hospital where he later died.
