HUMBLE, Texas (FOX 26) - As Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies conducted a search for four suspects in a burglary case, a nearby Humble-area school was in a 'lockout' as a precaution. The 'lockout' has since been lifted.
When the school perimeter was secured at around 5 p.m., 150 students, along with teachers, were on campus because of after-school activities. Administrators dismissed the students once they determined that the children were safe to leave the campus.
Deputies had conducted the search for the suspects at around 5:30 p.m. after the reported home burglary on Drew Forest Lane near Lago Forest Drive in northeast Harris County.
