Saturday night shoot-out leaves one injured

A shootout between officers and three robbery suspects in northwest Harris County leaves one of those alleged robbers in the hospital.

Houston police were on the scene responding to a robbery last night at a meat market in the Timbercreek Crossings Shopping Center on Highway 6 when the shootout began. Both the suspects and officers fired their weapons and one of those suspects of hurt.

 Now, Harris County investigators are trying to piece together exactly what happened.

 Lt. Joe Alvarez of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office tells us; “During the robbery, it was under surveillance by a task force and when the suspects came out, they were armed and they were shooting, so an HPD officer was in the parking lot surveilling the business and the business was open at the time. There was an exchange of gunfire and the suspects did get into a vehicle.  There was a brief search for the individuals and all the suspects were apprehended. “
