Rockets fans head out to the first game of the playoffs


Decked out in red and black Rockets fans cheered on their team for the first home game of the 2018 NBA Playoffs.

“We're excited, we’re just wanting to see W today that’s what we’re looking for”, says Juan Molina who went to the game with his wife Victoria.

“I’m excited about the Rockets and the Timberwolves because the Rockets are going to win”, says Julian Galvan.

The players are no strangers to making it to the end and those that have been life long fans represented the team well by wearing 1994 and 1995 apparel.

“Back to back champions we might do it this year 2018”, cheered Johhny Galvan.

“I was four when the parade happened and I just remember it being a huge deal in Houston”, says Victoria Molina.

Fans attending got "Run As One" t-shirts and even got a special performance outside by Houston's own Trae The Truth.

Everyone hopeful that the number one team in the NBA can stay that way till the end of June.

Jacinto Torres said, "I’m sure we’re going to win the championship this year and hopefully after we win the championship we can go back to back as well”.

“That would be amazing yes that would be amazing it will be another kind of back to back like when we did it in 94 and 95 but then if we were able to do it and this rolling year with the Astros and if we were able to kind of follow that up for the city that would be absolutely incredible”, said Ken Sheirr, Vice President of Marketing for the Rockets.
