Reports of shots fired outside Memorial City Mall
A dispute over a gold chain may be to blame for shots ringing out at a West Houston mall parking lot.
Around 7:45 p.m., police were called to the parking lot of a Target store located at 900 Gessner, near Memorial City Mall.
According to police, a group of men were approached by a separate group of men, over what is speculated to be over wanting a gold chain.
Words were exchanged, and the first group of men tried to leave the scene, but were followed out to the parking lot. The second group of men that wanted the gold chain opened fire on the other group's vehicle.
A white Ford Mustang had driver and passenger side windows shot out. Multiple suspects then fled in multiple vehicles, and the shooter is said to have fled in a red SUV.
There are no descriptions of the suspects at this time.
