DEER PARK, Texas (FOX 26) - Police have apprehended a woman they say was wanted for scamming the elderly while pretending to sell tamales.
According to Deer Park police, Blanca Delarosa was pretending to sell tamales for a church but never returning after taking money.
Police say on a few occasions she was able to enter victim's homes and stole jewelry and other small items.
The South Houston Police Department located and apprehended the woman on Tuesday afternoon.
Deer Park police say she scammed people in Deer Park, La Porte, Pasadena, Houston and possibly other surrounding cities.
Anyone who may have been scammed is asked to call their local police department to file a report.
