Police standoff ends in historic Sharpstown district

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston police have taken a man into custody after they say he barricaded himself inside a southwest Houston apartment unit. Officers arrived at around 8:15 a.m. Sunday following a report that the man had assaulted his father inside the home

A Houston police SWAT team gathered outside the apartment complex on Bellerive Drive near Bonhomme Road, a few streets away from the Southwest Freeway, until officer took the man into custody before 12 p.m. Sunday.
