CONROE, Texas (FOX 26) - Conroe police have apprehended Raymond Cole Lynch, 27, who was identified as the suspect who fired a handgun toward one of its officers during a traffic stop early on Tuesday morning.
Lynch is in custody at the Montgomery County Jail without bond.

- Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office
- Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office
Lynch's family also cooperated with Conroe police to help bring him into custody.
A warrant for Lynch was issued on Tuesday, March 27 for aggravated assault against a peace officer.
Police say Conroe officers stopped the driver of a black Lexus passenger car on the northbound Interstate 45 feeder road near Gladstell Street at around 4:10 a.m. on March 27. As an officer approached the window of the Lexus, police say, the driver began firing a handgun at the officer and the officer fired his weapon at the driver.
The officer was not injured.
