Police search for suspect in brutal beating

UPDATE:  POLICE HAVE MADE AN ARREST...

Police in New York are looking for a man in connection with a brutal attack on a Bronx sidewalk.  Video shows the attacker beating a man to the ground and then repeatedly kicking him before stealing his headphones.

It happened early Sunday morning in front of a store on West 183rd in the Fordham Heights section of the borough.

The mugger, dressed in a red jacket, a gray Jordan sweat suit and a grey hat, spoke to the man for a few seconds before launching his attack, video released by the NYPD shows.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition for head and neck injuries.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5'7", and 160 pounds.  Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.  Police say that all calls are strictly confidential.
