Police investigating shooting at store in northwest Houston

A man is left dead this evening after gunfire erupted in the parking lot of a convenience store in Northwest Houston. Police tell us that the suspect is still on the loose.
The shooting took place sometime after 5pm at the T&T Food Mart on the 4000 block of Hollister Street. Houston police have not confirmed if this was a robbery or if the victim was targeted. Multiple shots sailed through the parking lot into the store, shattering the glass and striking the victim who is believed to be a store employee, and described as a Hispanic male in his 40’s. So far no word on if there were any customers inside the store, but police are saying there was another employee inside who was not injured. We spoke with Dalila Loppez who works at one of the business’s in this shopping center, she said all she heard was the shots. And she tells us this area is not safe, as she too was a victim of violence."My car was stolen in this parking lot, I was robbed at gun point, I was assaulted. They took my car, my purse, all of the money that was inside. This happened 2 months ago.”Police are hoping surveillance video will give them leads, but if you know anything that can help authorities bring in the person responsible for this shooting please call crimestoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
