Person found shot to death in field in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police are investigating the death of a person found shot to death in a field in southwest Houston.

Police say an oil field service worker was checking a field in the 16100 block of Blue Ridge Sunday afternoon when the worker found the body.

Officers say the victim is either a juvenile or young woman. The victim died from gunshot wounds, police say, but it is unclear how many times she was shot. The body will be examined by the medical examiner.
