'Secure mode' lifted at Patrick Henry Middle School

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Patrick Henry Middle School in northeast Houston was in 'secure mode' as a precautionary measure while officers investigated an incident nearby. The secure mode order has since been lifted. Houston police were contacted at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday with a report of a suspicious person carrying a weapon that looked like a rifle.

Both Houston police and Houston Independent School District police were patrolling the area surrounding the school in search of the suspicious person.
