Pasadena-area shooting under investigation
PASADENA, Texas (FOX 26) - Police are investigating a shooting where at least one law enforcement officer fired a weapon in Pasadena.
The shooting was reported before 4:30 p.m. on Southmore Avenue near Spooner Street. Pasadena police say no law enforcement officers were injured.
An officer was conducting a traffic stop and moved into the left lane. The suspect stopped the vehicle, opened the door and placed the right hand behind the back. When the suspect drew a pistol and pointed it at the officer, that officer was forced to fire gunshots.
The shooting was captured on body camera and surveillance videos.
The manager at nearby A-1 All American Pawn Shop tells FOX 26 News that the shooting was not related to operations at his store.
