North Richland Hills PD's Mannequin Challenge: ‘Don't Drink and Drive'

A North Texas police department is using a popular social media trend to give a sobering reminder about the dangers of drunk driving over the holidays.

The North Richland Hills Police Department is the latest organization to make a “Mannequin Challenge” video. But the police department used their ‘mannequins’ to show the aftermath of a drunk driver crash.

“With the holidays just around the corner, we wanted to take a minute to remind you all not to drink and drive,” the department wrote on its Facebook. “Please remember families and friends before you get behind the wheel and do something you may regret later.”

The U.S. Department of Transportation reports more than 300 people die each year in the days surrounding Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
