No definitive cause of death in Jessica Cain case

There is no sufficient evidence to determine the cause of death for Jessica Cain, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The autopsy was performed on her body on March 19, the day after her remains were found on East Orem Drive near Martindale Road in southeast Houston.
17-year-old Jessica Cain disappeared without a trace back in 1997. Her family and friends were finally able to pay their respects to her at a visitation service held in Liberty on April 23.

William Reece, who is currently serving a 60-year sentence for an aggravated kidnapping that happened the same year Jessica went missing, lead authorities to the site where Jessica's remains were found buried in March. Reese was considered a "person of interest" in her disappearance.
