New video released of Klein Oak student killed in officer-involved shooting

HOUSTON, TX - Investigators have released a new video of a fatal officer-involved shooting of a Klein Oak student.  The Klein Oak student, Jose Luis Centeno 17 opened fire on deputies after a police chase on Halloween.  Centeno reportedly failed to stop for a school bus that was unloading students in the 7600 block of Cypress Road. 

After a brief chase, Centeno's car became stuck in a ditch near the14800 block of Stuebner Airline Road, he drove into a ditch.

Dashcam video reveals 2 different patrol cars apprehending Centeno. Deputies then approached Centeno's car while asking Centeno to show his hands. Centeno is seen raising a handgun and firing at deputies' direction from the driver's seat. Deputies then returned fire, killing Centeno.  It's been confirmed that Centeno was a student at Klein Oak High School. 

It was later determined after the investigation that Centeno's weapon was a replica air gun, powered by a carbon-dioxide canister.
