Houston police have released new information they hope will lead to the identification of a female whose remains were found at Lake Houston.

On March 24, volunteers cleaning up around the lake found a suspicious trash bag along a bridge near the 10600 block of F.M. 1960. Police responded to the scene and saw what appeared to be human hair in the bag. Investigators determined the bag contained human remains in an advanced state of decomposition.

Investigators believe the remains are that of a female who likely had naturally dark hair and possible brown or dark brown eyes. Officials say the female likely had top and bottom rotated or "winged" teeth that would have been noticeable to anyone who knew her.
