HOUSTON, TX - Without wheels after Hurricane Harvey? There's a new program called Keep Houston Rolling. According to Keep Houston Rolling, approximately 1 million cars were lost in the storm. With so many people still owing money on the totaled car, many families can’t afford to buy a new one. Others have been placed in temporary housing away from school, work, or their transit stop. That's why Keep Houston Rolling started.
"We figured the best way to help out would be to get a bunch of bikes and give them out to those most in need. So far we have 400 new bikes committed and are holding a bike drive this weekend." Volunteers are need to help assemble bikes as well.
If you've lost your mode of transportation. you need to be able to get to work, a bike is your option. Who qualifies for the free bike? there's an application process. Contact http://houston.bcycle.com to see if you qualify.
