If your neighborhood didn't end up with a flood of problems as a result of all the recent rain, consider yourself lucky.  Not everyone is so fortunate.

In northwest Harris County some were hit hard by high water in an area around Highway 290.  Mueschke Road, for instance, at Schiel is completely under water.

The drenching from a three day downpour put a strain on area creeks and bayous sending waves of water washing out roads and flooding front yards.  "It's almost like a river.  I couldn't get there to work.  Our trucks are basically stuck," explains Rameez Sultan.

According to the Harris County Flood Control District in Northwest Harris County Little Cypress Creek, Little Mound Creek and Upper Spring Creek all spilled from their banks.

Horses had to be rescued.  Stone Lake Subdivision was left under water and some spent the day helping others.

"Your shoes are soaked your legs are soaked. So you tried to walk through the flood water?" I asked a truckdriver as he returned to town finding his pick up truck in water to the middle of his door.  So is there any damage?  "I'm fixing to find out," Robert the trucker answers.

TJ the owner of Lindsay Trucking company has no idea what damage was done as the water rose around his rigs.  "If it goes up to the computer then that's major damage".
