HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A Houston Police Department employee was one of 139 men arrested in a prostitution sting.
HPD arrested these men during a ten-day operation.
This comes just days after a nation-wide sex trafficking bust.
Police are trying to cut off the demand for the sex trade in Houston.
They say most prostitution arrests occur on the streets. Other arrests are made in brothels, modeling studios, sexually oriented businesses, hotels, and also illicit massage establishments.
Chief Art Acevedo says these men should be ashamed of themselves, and hopes this serves as a warning.
Chief Acevedo also says Houston has the highest concentration of illicit massage establishments.
The women forced to work there have no other option for survival and are forced to work under horrific conditions.
