MixBin recalls liquid-filled glitter cases after reports of skin burns

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission

MixBin electronics is recalling more than 250,000 liquid-filled glitter cases for iPhone 6, 6s and 7.

Liquid and glitter can leak from the cases, causing irritations and burns to customers, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says.

Two dozen people worldwide have reported chemical burns and skin irritation. One person reported permanent scarring from a chemical burn and one customer reported burns, and welling to her leg, face, neck, chest, and upper body and hands, CPSC says.

The product was sold at Amazon, MixBin, Nordstrom Rack, Tory Burch, Victoria's Secret, and Henri Bendel stores nationwide and online from October 2015 through June 2017. For a full list of model numbers and UPC codes, click here.

Consumers are asked to stop using the product and return it to MixBin for a refund.
