Texas EquuSearch volunteers have located human remains in Crystal Beach that they believe are those of Terry Millender, a crabber reported missing on Dec. 14. His body is pending positive identification by medical authorities.

The U.S. Coast Guard, Galveston County Sheriff's Office and Crystal Beach Fire Department conducted the search for Millender, a Crystal Beach resident, who was reported missing on Monday near mile marker 338 in the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Galveston County Sheriff's Office reported to the Coast Guard that a 19-foot skiff had been seen steering in circles with no one aboard. Once the boat beached itself, further investigation revealed there were crabpots, some of which contained live crabs in the boat.

Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston had launched an Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and a Coast Guard Station Galveston 29-foot response boat crew to search a six-mile stretch of the waterway.
