Man found dead inside north Harris County apartment unit

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Harris County Sheriff's Office homicide investigators are trying to determine what led to the death of a man whose body was found inside a north Harris County apartment unit during a welfare check. Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables arrived at The Huntington at Stonefield apartment complex on Stonefield Drive near Greenwell Drive at around 11:10 a.m. Friday.

The deputy constables were responding to a 911 call from a friend of the 25-year-old man who found the body after he was not able to contact his cell phone.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine the man's cause of death.
