Man charged in dragging of puppy from truck

Deputies have arrested a Santa Fe resident in a case where a puppy was dragged from a truck along a roadway. That dog was found alive and taken to the Galveston County Animal Resource Center.

Galveston County deputies arrested Raymond Roy Hall on Monday. He was charged with cruelty to non-livestock animal: torture. Hall remains in jail on $20,000 bond.

After a citizen reported the dragging incident to deputies on Nov. 4, the Galveston County District Attorney's Office recommended the felony charge against Hall based on a GCSO animal cruelty investigation.
