Man charged for alleged making social media threat at HCC Central

A 21-year-old Houston man is charged with making a terroristic threat for allegedly vowing on Facebook to unleash violence at Houston Community College, prosecutors said Thursday.

Luis Antonio Rivera, 21, was charged with the third-degree felony following an investigation by HCC Police.

Using the name Elijah Eli Saltibanez,  investigators say he allegedly posted on Facebook saying, “I will attack and shoot everyone and kill everyone in hcc Central campus in May 7 2018 I will kill everyone including students and teachers are gonna die and also I will kill the hcc police department.”

Investigators say additional threats were allegedly posted against President Trump and students in local school districts.

“We take threats to public safety seriously,” First Assistant Tom Berg said in a release. “If the elements are met, you will be charged and prosecuted.”

Rivera faces two to 10 years in prison if convicted.
