A man was arrested in north Harris County for allegedly trying to use candy to lure a child at a playground back to his apartment.
Thomas Keck, 40, has been charged with enticing a child with intent to commit felony. According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, witnesses reported seeing an adult male approach a 7-year-old child at a playground in the 14100 block of Champions Drive and offered the boy candy in return for joining him at his apartment. Investigators say the suspect also showed the boy a photo of a sexual nature on his phone and asked if the boy would like to perform the act depicted in the photo. The boy said no and ran away.
Constable deputies identified Thomas Keck as the suspect and recovered his phone to be analyzed. Keck was booked into the Harris County Jail and his bond was set at $25,000.
