Man admits to killing girlfriend, stuffing body in trunk

Investigators say a Houston man has admitted to killing his 19-year-old girlfriend and stuffing her body in the trunk of a car.

Troy Parker, 20, told police he killed Sabrina Herrera at his home, and the people who grew up with him can't understand it.

"That's why everything is so shocking. To me he was one of the coolest guys. He didn't have no problem," said a neighbor who did not want to be identified.

But clearly he did. According to Missouri City Police, when Sabrina didn't arrive work her family turned on the Find My Friend app on their phones and hoped she had her location services turned on. She did. They tracked her car to a dead end street. Their hearts sank when they couldn't find her, so they called police. Capt. Paul Poulton says they did what police would've done.

"Absolutely they did and it was beneficial," Capt. Poulton says. "The outcome was the same and it's sad. It helped us locate her much faster than we would've."

Sad, because Sabrina's body was in the trunk. Police won't say how she died until the autopsy report is ready.

Sabrina's boyfriend, Troy Parker, has now been arrested in her death. Detectives say during an interview Parker confessed to killing her at his residence, located in the 8400 block of Quail Run in Houston. Parker revealed that he drove to Missouri City with the victim in the trunk and parked the car in the 1600 block of Bent Oak.

While her family is too distraught to talk, condolences are pouring in via social media. Friends are telling the former cheerleader and future nurse they will miss her and venting their anger.

So why would this aspiring professional player take the life of his former girlfriend? Nobody seems to know just yet.

"It's crazy, that's all I can say. It's crazy," said his neighbor.
