FRIENDSWOOD, Texas (FOX 26) — A warrant was issued for the arrest of a man from Houston accused of threatening to kill a Lyft driver who picked him up from Friendswood.
The arrest warrant was issued Alfonso Max Rueda, 31, who is charged with making a terroristic threat in Harris County.
The Lyft driver picked up Rueda from a condominium complex in Friendswood late on Feb. 7. The Lyft driver brought Rueda to an ATM on FM 528, but when Rueda was unable to withdraw money from his account, police say he became angry, grabbed the driver, threatened to kill her and demanded that she drive him to his home in Houston.
When the driver returned to Friendswood, she notified police.
Rueda is currently out on bond for a driving while intoxicated charge filed in October 2018 in Harris County.
