Lorex recalls video baby monitors due to burn hazard

About 26,000 video baby monitors are being recalled because of a burn hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall involves Lorex Care 'N' Share video baby monitors with model numbers WL3520, WL4320 and WL3401.

The video monitor's batteries can overheat, swell and expand and cause the battery cover to open or come off. This can expose hot batteries, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

No injuries have been reported.

The recalled baby monitors were sold from May 2013 through May 2015 at a number of stores including Babies "R" Us, Target and Walmart, as well as online at Amazon.com.

Consumers should stop using the product and contact Lorex to receive a full refund.

Lorex can be reached toll-free at 844-265-7388 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.lorextechnology.com and click on "Product Recalls" for more information.
