HOUSTON (FOX 26) - One person is dead after a three-car accident early Monday morning.
Police say around 12:45 a.m. there were two vehicles stopped at a red light going northbound on FM 521 at FM 2234, when a car, traveling over 100 mph, slammed into the back end of the first stopped car.
That car was pushed into the minivan in front of it.
The force of the crash caused all three vehicles to roll into the intersection, and the first two flipped over into a ditch.
The impact was so great that it caused the initial car to become lodged inside the second vehicle.
One person died at the scene.
The driver at fault was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
DPS State Troopers did a blood alcohol test at the hospital and he was found to not be intoxicated, in fact had -0- no alcohol.
According to DPS, he has mental issues.
Amazingly, no one was hurt from the minivan
