A murder suspect is now unaccounted for after he removed his ankle monitor.

Carlos Torres is accused of killing a young woman back in 2014.

Two years ago, inside a bright green house, a 22-year-old woman's body was found on her bed.

Houston police say Eleivia Vigil lived in this Southeast Houston home with her family.

They reported she had gone out the night before and returned home around 2 a.m.

In the morning, her family tried to wake her up but the door was locked.

When they peeked in through her window, they found her dead inside the room.

The official cause of death was strangulation.

Police eventually arrested Carlos Torres, now 27 years old, in connection with her death.

Now, two years later, police have reported the murder suspect, Torres is on the loose.

He was last heard from on Sunday. While was out on bond, he removed his ankle monitor. Police say the public should consider him armed and dangerous and that he is likely driving a 2003 gold Nissan Xterra with a Texas license plate BT8J480.
