Lightning strike sparks apartment fire near Champion Forest

HOUSTON, TX - Officials say a lightning strike sparked an 2-alarm apartment complex fire near Champion Forest.  Several crews responded to the 14200 block of Wunderlich after an apartment complex caught fire.  Firefighters battled the blaze and found heavy flames engulfing several units. One person was treated for smoke inhalation, and another said they couldn't get their dog out of the fire in time. The fire has forced several residents from their apartment homes, and Red Cross has been requested for 20-40 people.
