Lightning at 7,000 frames per second

- You’ve seen lightning but never like this.

The Florida Institute of Technology released videos showing lightning during storms last week about six miles from its campus in Melbourne.

These bolts were reportedly recorded at 7,000 frames per second using a high-speed camera.

Watch as they slowly descend and then seem to explode.
