League City workers want answers when it comes to their health insurance plan that is now dead in the water.

Workers say they learned just this week, that the city abruptly canceled their current insurance plan, and replaced it with a self-insured plan.

But workers say they received little notice on the change, and they want to know if their current deductible under their older plan will be honored.

City manager Mark Rohr tells FOX 26 by phone he's not sure about the deductible question.  He says the city council likely didn't realize the implications of their actions by changing the benefits plan.

Rohr says he hopes to have the 500 full-time workers answers by next week.
