HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The Klein Independent School District has released the following statement regarding a former substitute teacher charged with injury to a child:
The matter involving a substitute teacher at Epps Island occurring on October 8, 2015, was turned over to the Klein ISD police after an immediate investigation by campus administration. During her investigation of the incident, Nevers told the campus principal that the students were misbehaving, and physical contact was made as he was disciplining them. While the students were not injured, Klein ISD will not tolerate an employee irresponsibly putting their hands on a child.
As of October 9, 2015, the day after the incident, the substitute is no longer employed by the district.
