What to do when you get laid off

General Motors, the great American car company, said 14,000 people would be laid off and seven U.S. factories would close. It enraged President Donald Trump who said he may cut off government subsidies for the car company.  If you can't relate to GM, Mayor Sylvester Turner here in Houston said he may have to layoff upwards of 1,000 people as a result of a 29 percent voter approved pay raise for firefighters.

So what do you do if you're laid off?  What if there is no health severance package? How do you begin to begin again? On the Factor to talk about this is Stephen Carter with Sterling Staffing Solutions and diversity and inclusion consultant Khalilah Guillory.
