Fort Bend County is growing day by day and parents are concerned about overcrowding and rezoning in the Fort Bend Independent School District.
Parents want a long term plan for students of all grade levels in the Ridge Point feeder pattern. They are concerned that moving their children around and placing them in an overcrowded school will cause problems with their academics and social experience.
District leaders have suggested everything from rezoning boundaries, repurposing buildings, moving programs, consolidating and building new schools and losing others to accommodate the growing population.
On the Factor to talk about this are parents Paula Smith, Geralynn Prince, Orjanel Lewis, Erica Lohse and Vanessa Gaines. State Representative Ron Reynolds is also on the Factor to break this down.
