Prison time possible for those offering aid to migrants

A federal jury couldn't reach a verdict against a border activist accused of criminal conspiracy to transport and harbor illegal aliens.

College professor and "No More Deaths" volunteer Scott Warren was arrested in January 2018 for providing food, water, and lodging for two migrants. After the jury deliberated for more than 15 hours, the judge declared a hung jury.

Warren could have faced more than 20 years behind bars if found guilty on all counts.
