NRA criticizes physicians for their opinions on gun violence

It was November 2018 when the National Rifle Association told physicians in the U.S. to stay in their own lane when it comes to gun violence, but doctors refused to back down, saying they are on the front lines in emergency rooms treating the damage done by guns.

The Annals of Internal Medicine published a report showing how dangerous and long lasting gun injuries can be. It also indicated it is a major health issue, so what the NRA was successful in doing by telling the doctors to be silent is create a whole new group of activists who are pushing back with scapels in their hands.

Emergency room physician Dr. Huma Kausar discusses the report with Isiah Carey.
