Former inmate's program aimed to end mass incarceration

Former Texas death row inmate Anthony Graves is teaming up with Texas Southern University to accomplish the goal of ending mass incarceration and addressing disparities in the criminal justice system.

The Anthony Graves Smart Justice Speakers Bureau trains individuals who have spent time in prison to tell their own stories. It is the only program of its kind in the U.S. The program is the brainchild of Graves, the exonerated death row inmate who spent 18 years in prison, 12 of those years on death row where he overcame two stays of execution.

Graves and several of the bureau speakers discuss the program with Isiah Carey.
