Infants among wounded in Eastern Aleppo airstrikes

Aleppo-based activists reported that multiple airstrikes targeted the opposition-held neighborhood of al-Qaterji during the late-night hours of August 17. Three people were reportedly killed in the airstrikes, while several others, including at least two children, were wounded.

This footage, released by the Aleppo Media Center, shows several wounded civilians, including two infants, being rescued from the rubble and transported to a nearby field hospital.

A screenshot of this video, which shows a young boy sitting in an ambulance, has since gone viral. A Syrian Civil Defense volunteer rescue worker confirmed to Storyful that the boy, 5-year-old Omran Daqneesh, was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
