Feb. 3 is officially designated as Houston Missing Persons Day. It allows communities to spread awareness and give support to families that suffer the loss of the missing loved ones in their lives. Families who currently have missing children attended an event at Houston City Hall on Sunday. Dozens of people in attendance offered their support.

Victims advocate Andy Kahan, Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch and Beth Alberts of Texas Center for the Missing each spoke on the importance of keeping cases of missing persons open. Numerous families spoke at the emotional event, asking for the public to help them find their children.
